Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park, nestled in northern Tanzania, is renowned for its unique tree-climbing lions. Here, you can witness a phenomenon not commonly seen in other parks – lions that scramble up into the branches of trees.

The reason for this behavior is still a subject of some mystery, but it's a sight to behold and a photographer's dream.

This park isn't just about the tree-climbing lions, though. It's a compact gem known for its diverse ecosystems, including dense forests, grassy floodplains, and the shimmering Lake Manyara itself. The lake attracts thousands of flamingos, turning its waters pink during certain times of the year.

While exploring Lake Manyara, you'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, from elephants and hippos to colorful bird species. Its small size and unique features make it a delightful stop on a Tanzanian safari, offering a different and memorable experience compared to larger parks.
